Anyone know if paypal here card reader will work with a bluetooth barcode scanner? Or as the card reader connects via bluetooth it wont allow two bluetooth devices working together on the ipad?
I know the ipad version has a scanner option but would like to have a hand held external scanner rather then use the camera ipad option.
We have tested some barcode scanners and they worked. When setting up the items you have the option to use the Bluetooth scanner to scan the barcode number which will then be stored. When ringing up items you have to use the search function, then scan the barcode and after that the item will show up. You then tap the screen to add it to the order.
Hi Siobhan That's great news thanks very much. 🙂 Are you allowed to say which bluetooth scanner works so I know which to buy? And can I confirm both bluetooth scanner and the Bluetooth here card reader will work at same time together ie both devices will connect to the iPad at and time. Or do you need to disable the Bluetooth scanner on the iPad before the reader will work? Thanks
