Making Payments Only to Have them Expired. Please Help

Hello Everyone. Hoping someone could please help me with my situation. I wouldn't be here if I could understand anything the foreign customer service agents were saying. OK here goes :

I sell cell phones on EBay. I purchase these phones from Radioshack at a discount price and am able to profit by selling them via EBay. I basically post the items on EBay then purchase them from Radioshack as they sell. I buy so many they are willing to hold me a lot of phones in the back so not having inventory when I sell the phones is not a problem. And the real problem : I pay for these phones with my Paypal debit card and about %50 of the time these payments expire and I call Paypal and they say the merchant did not capture payment in time and it has been cancelled. I may then make a new payment or cheat and keep the money. I choose not to cheat and go and make another payment. Sometimes they go through sometimes they don't. So its a never ending struggle with this Paypal Debit Card. Is there anything I can do to keep these transactions from expiring or am I just stuck.? Are there certain days the sun is shining just right and that makes the payments go through? Just worried that this will cause me problems because I'm paying then later Radioshack will see they didn't get their money. Of course I go right back in and pay it but I feel that Paypal is more trouble for me than its worth. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks - WRobinson

I've never had a merchant "fail to capture" the payment from a Paypal debit card yet - must be something Radio shack is doing wrong.

If you're paying by debit, then try paying by the credit card side an vice versa.

If that doesn't work, download the money from Paypal and keep a float in your regular bank - pay R.S. from that account instead.

I just had a really nasty thought - do you deal with the same salesperson every single time?

If so, he may be pocketing the proceeds and the two of you could wind up charged with conspiracy to defraud.

If it's different salespeople, you should be okay, though.

I have seen several payments that were not captured in time on my PP debit card over the years. It is not frequent, and in one case the store where they know me, stopped me because of a problem with one of these payments.

IN fact I often see this with small debit card payments at convenienece stores, Las one was just a few days ago.

I've had about 6 payments this year do exactly what you were describing.  Do not feel like you have scammed the company as their monthly audit will catch up and they will re-charge the card with you original invoice being proof to their claim.  The thing you MUST remember is to keep the money in your PP account until they can catch it because they WILL charge you again but this time you will receive no notice and it will just appear under your PP account almost looking like a manual charge.  Again, they will charge you for the missing amount.  It just takes the company or merchant bank a little while to catch the glitch.
