My card expired few months ago yet before paypal will replace it, this is my debit card for access to my own money as am seller, in my account, they need my social security number, my date of birth, this is craziness...I need access to my money-I am not giving them such personal info-they have my debit card hooked up to my checking account which is bad enough but I refuse to add all of this, too -there must be easier way

Paypal rep on phone says since January 2010, Paypal needs  all sellers  with paypal mastercard debit cards on file,  complete birthdate and social security number to get replacement, whether be lost, stolen or expired, no a exceptions to rule and despite fact i ONLY get mail at post office, that's where I get my mail, I need to give physical address as well. he would not reason with me as I gave all this info to get my checking account with my bank, which is hooked up to my paypal debit card-due to my temporarily misplacing my card, am SOOL, I cannot access my funds EXCEPT as i did last month, DEDUCT funds to my checking account, which took 7 days.Again my bank has all this info on file, my paypal card is hooked up to my bank account-he says Paypal needs to identify me for the debit card replacement-makes no sense to me as my bank knows me, i hitched two together June 2008 and now more personal info online or on phone?I think not.  -

I don't understand why everybody is so paranoid. Who cares if they want this info. What are you worried they're going to do to you? You didn't worry what your bank was going to do to you if you gave them the information. PayPal is no different. I'm glad they need the info- it protects ME.

I called customer service yesterday after being humiliated in the store after my card was denied but I was not sure what the reason was at that time.  I knew I had more than enough funds.  Then I noticed that my card was expired.  I immediately called customer service to see if my cards had gotten lost in the mail.  I had no idea that they had never sent now any or at least reminding me ahead of time that my cards would be expiring soon.  She told me that she would be sending a paper in 7-10 business days for me to confirm my physical address on it & after I send that back I'm praying they will send my new debit cards.

Gee, and they told me they must have had the wrong apartment number. I have called and received 2 LETTERS OF CONFIRMATION!! Tonight I went on PP again and entered the code-we'll see what happens.  It is not fair that our money is being held onto and we have no access. They have ALLLLL the info they need on us thru our banks!!!

If anyone knows how to get their EXPIRED CARDS SOONER, PLEASE LETUS KNOW.....

THANKS!!Smiley Sad
