Do you mean the payment was sent to a wrong email address? If this is the case, you may still be able to cancel the payment as long as the email address you sent it to is not associated with any account. You can do this by logging in to the PayPal website and clicking on the transaction to view the details. Check if the transaction is still pending and check if there is an option to cancel it. This option is not available on the app, btw, so you have to do this on Google Chrome or Safari.
