Paypal Mobile App evaluation

The improvements made on the mobile app since the beginning have been great. There are some "convention" problems I've found with the most recent version though.

1. From the home screen, on the top there is a button with a gold highlighted bar that contains the account name and balance. To the right of this bar, there is a triangle button (which by convention) means "click me for more information." So, if you click on this triangle it opens to give you more options (appropriately)- but if you click anywhere else on this button it does the same thing. I would assume that when I clicked on the account it would "open" the account for me to review my account history. Account history is available using the history button just below it, but it doesn't follow the standard conventions used in other apps. (triangle = expand, button = open)

2. On the website version of the account history there is a plus icon to the left of any transaction that has multiple parts (the purchase links to the transfer from bank account)- This is very handy for tracking all account transactions- this same information is not available on the mobile app. Even if you click on the button for "full details" it gives you more information, but does not show the multiple transactions associated.

3. There are no print options from the mobile app- Airprint is beginning to come of age, I'd like to eventually be able to

    a. Print mailing labels (multi-order shipping) from the app

    b. Print account history (similar to a statement)

    c. Print a detailed report for a specific transaction

4. Paying for an item- I like the split the bill feature- can you take it a step further?I see you have addd the collect money feature- which is close, but If everyone has a paypal account, why can't I initiate the split on my phone, and then pass it around the table for each person to put in their pin? When all the PINS have ben entered I make the payment with my paypal debit card- or any other payment means I choose.

5. Take payments even further- As a retailer (restaurant or otherwise)- I'd like to have a retail terminal next to my register (basically an iPad)- for anyone who wants to pay with paypal I would open my paypal virtual store on this ipad, type in the transaction number from my Point of Sale (POS) system, and then "enable" the payment. The customer could be anywhere in the establishment (attached to my wifi network or 3G)- and open the paypal mobile app- and enter that same transaction number and make a payment (all or partial) using their paypal account. Others with a paypal account could then log in to pay the remaining, and when it's all done my POS would print a final receipt showing fully paid or the remaining amount.

6. Bar Tabs- How many people open a tab at the bar and then leave their credit card there-- could I use my mobile app to open a bar tab? I could set specific limits, pre-pay the tip, and it would automatically close itself out at closing time..1q
