Help!! It won't let me close my paypal account.

I've been trying to close my account for the past couple months, but it always says the following:

This account cannot be closed at this time because there are outstanding payment authorizations. Please try again after the authorizations have been settled or voided.

Why is it saying this? So I contacted Paypal customer support, and they told me to wait until the following Tuesday, when this message would be cleared and I could then proceed to close my account. I waited, and am still waiting, because it still won't let me close my account every time I try.

you most likely have a negative balance or a pending lost dispute you need to pay for first

Login to your PayPal account profile and check to see if you have a recurring payment, subscription, or automatic billing agreement...

1. Log in to your PayPal account.
2. Click Profile near the top of the page.
3. Click My money.
4. Click Update in the My preapproved payments section.
