Hi there! I used to have an American PayPal account but for some reason I was not able to access it again because I wouldn't be able to receive the code to a phone number I no longer have. I spent one hour talking to customer service and the solution they gave me was to create a new account in Spain because my SIM card is from there. However, it doesn't let me add the account because it should be from a bank in the EU. Is there any solution to this? Or is it possible to recover my American account?
Paypal is country specific so you have to open a paypal account in the country you reside in and add an address / phone number / bank accounts / cards from within that country. However you can add a U.S bank account to most other countries Paypal accounts, this is because Paypal is a U.S company.
