payment hold- my account is good and does not fit the criteria for PP to hold a payment

Hi

I have a payment withheld by Paypal.

I have had my ebay account for years, I have 100% positive feedback and there has been no change to my selling pattern. 

I sold a similar item at a similar price on the same day and that went through fine as have my other transactions. I spoke to ebay and they said that they cannot see a problem. 

It is not possible to speak to anyone at PP to find out why this has happened. I have seen what I have to do, but feel it completely unnecessary. There is the added possibility of complications should the buyer say that they have not received it for some reason- even though it will be a tracked courier service. 

There seems no logic to this and it is frustrating. Paypal have taken their fee- but I will have to wait to get what I am owed.

Reasons why you may have returned to a payment hold possibly are >>>

1. New seller.
2. Not sold for a while and returned to selling.
3. Dipped star ratings on ebay.
4. Recent buyer disputes.
5. Selling on a different email address or ebay i.d.
6. Suddenly selling a high cost item against normal selling history?

If its none of those then your best bet is to contact Ebay OR Paypal customer services (dependent on who's hold has been applied) to ascertain why.

thanks for your reply. But that's the problem- none of the possible reasons apply to me....

Ebay cannot see a problem, but can't do anything- and I would really like to speak to someone at PP, but I cannot.
