Verification deposit into my current account is never seen so i cant verify my card

I request a small deposit with four digit ref be deposited into my bank account to verify my card. This has been requested three times but the deposit is never seen in my current account so i cant retrieve the four digit ref number and so i cant verify my card for paypal?
