Welcome to the PayPal Community!
To use a gift card, you do not need to add your credit card. You can link the gift card to your PayPal account as you would a regular card. To learn how to add a debit or credit card, I recommend referring to our Help Center: How do I link a debit or credit card to my PayPal account?
