Unable to add Bank of America Checking Account

I have been trying to add my Bank of America checking account to PayPal, was unable. I chatted with customer service but she said I can not add and I have to try with another bank. First time doing this. I have no idea how true is this.. please help. I only have Bank account with Bank of America. Thank you.

You can't add a Bank of America account to a paypal account as paypal do not support it.

Why does Paypal Show Bank of America if they do not support it?
For Venmo I had no issue adding my Bank of America account.  However, I have tried several times to link my Bank of America to Paypal and it keeps stating "Sorry, we can’t link your bank account right now." and I have tried both methods several times the past few weeks.  When users are unable to link accounts Paypal should be looking into why this is and resolve these issues ASAP.
