So I recently sold something and decided to transfer the money to a Chime bank account via Standard Transfer because I was in no rush. The transfer status on PayPal says “completed” but a short while later, I get an email from the bank saying the direct deposit is being returned to the depositor because the name doesn’t match and they can’t accept it. This wasn’t an issue before as I had done a transfer to this bank and it’s verified, but it’s been like a year since I’ve used PayPal and I guess the rules changed (the bank account is in my wife’s name). I’m still waiting for the money to be returned to my PayPal but I was wondering if someone could clarify if there would be a fee charged for the transfer/standard withdrawal being returned? I know there’s a fee when you buy something and there’s insufficient funds, but that’s not my case here. I tried searching for an answer but couldn’t seem find a clear answer that matches my situation.
