I placed an order online at a big chain store. The total for 3 items was $64.64. Part of my order was to be picked up at a local store and part was to be shipped. The shipped part was out of stock so I did not receive it. The hold was placed for the full order amount against my account. I see the completed transaction for the part that I picked up, but no credit for the part of the order that got canceled. How long does it take for this to be credited back to my account? Thank you for any input!

Hi @Katrinakatrina ,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

Since you have only received some of the items even if you have already paid in full, the refund would be coming out of the merchant's account. They would need to have this refunded on their system to be credited back to your account. Once they have already issued out a refund, it should show on the transaction that a partial refund was done.

Have they confirmed that they would be issuing a refund? you would need to communicate with them directly since they have already taken out the payment. If they would be able to issue out a refund, it will be credited back to the original funding source (where the payment was taken out originally).

If in case they would not be responsive, you can reach out to us so that we can open up a dispute as you have not receive some of the items even though you have paid in full. After trying to communicate with them, you can get back to us and contact our chat representatives by logging in to your Paypal account and go to Message Center/Contact Us.

Hope this helps! Stay safe.
