Money Pending

I recently Purchased an Item from Ebay which was damaged .

Therefore I notified the Seller and contacted Ebay.

The seller informed me that the money has now returned to my Account.

But I need to contact EBay to cancel my Complaint

This has been done and the complaint has been cancelled

My PayPal account shows the money Pending in my account for the past week

How long do you have to wait before Pay Pal return it to my Bank account

I cast seem to get an answer.

Do I keep trying PayPal Or EBay or the Seller.

I'm lost

Pending refunds can only happen for two reasons.

1. The seller has issued a refund from their bank account which takes time to process. Normally 5-7 days in the UK.

HOWEVER i would never cancel a complaint until I had received the refund as if the seller did not have enough in their bank account the refund could bounce.

2. You funded the payment to the seller using bank transfer. What PayPal do here is credit the recipient on your behalf (so there is no delay in despatching your item). Then if you receive a refund in the meantime they are unable to issue this until the original bank transfer completes.
