I'm purchasing Ethereum and Bitcoin through Paypal - I want to factor in PayPal's fees when I calculate the return ($ and %) on my investment. Given that the fees are based on the amount purchased, and that one share of Bitcoin costs much more than one share of Ethereum, what calculations would I perform to factor in the additional $18 in fees on a $1,000 purchase of Bitcoin and the additional $18 in fees on a $1,000 purchase of Ethereum? It's easy enough to see how much the $1,000 worth of Ethereum I purchased last week is worth today, and then perform the following calculation - (current price - purchase price) \ purchase price = return on investment - but that doesn't take into account the PayPal fees - any suggestions?
