When Paypal say they have raised an e-cheque they mean they have set up a direct debit with your bank ( not an echeque) . This is subject to the Direct Debit guarantee. Be aware that Paypal will take anything up to a month to allow enough time to pass so the bank can snatch the funds back. Once enough time has passed so the bank can't recall the payment, then Paypal will transfer the funds to the account. I have had money sent from me 16 days ago and they still won't pass it on for another 5 days. Avoid echeques!!!!
