Adding bank account, involvement of 'Tink' in verification process

Evening all,

I had to cancel a card recently (the one I use to make payments with Paypal, both purchases and to settle credit,) and attempted to add a bank account to take over the task.

Following the verification process, I'm ultimately met with a message something to the effect of 'confirm access through Tink Paypal?' or something like that. This immediately made me suspicious. An online investigation shows no official link to Paypal with Tink whatsoever - just a bunch of z-list news websites promoting the company.

I am however trying to do this legitimately through Paypal. Is this actually how the process goes (involving 'Tink') or has my account somehow been compromised?

Regards,

K

Hi @kitroberts5,

I can understand why you would be concerned by seeing this message. Seeing this message does not indicate that your account was compromised. We do have a partnership with Tink. You can read more about the partnership if you would like by visiting the link here. As your profile shows that you are located in the UK, you can also view a UK legal agreement that mentions Tink here.

I hope this helps!
