Hi, with online banking becoming extremely popular, why do banks rely on "business" days? Why not just use every day? I understand in the past an actual person may have had to verify transactions, but computers don't need weekends off, so why business days? It just seems like an archaic system, or am I missing something?
Thank you.

Wikipedia has a good definition of "Business Day" and also hints at an argument for discussion.
