We have paid £400 for school dinners for our three children upfront for Jan, Feb, March 2014. I am paying for tangible meals, I can prove if they have been delivered etc.
Company went bust at Xmas and paypal refue to reimburse us, although legal company say others have been refunded by paypal.
Apart from not using paypal again, what can we do?

Paypal only cover you for tangible items sent in the post
So you are not covered by paypal, what others may have done is if you funded your paypal payment with a card then contact your card issuer and see if they will chargeback for you.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
