please remove the fancy video background, it just SLOWS the log in process significantly.
I am annoyed each time I log on. Does anyone else think this is annoying? We don't need to be impressed by Paypal's coding skills, we just want to access our accounts effieciently! thank you!

BIG KUDOS TO THIS OPTION - WORKS LIKE A CHARM!
CHANGED MY BOOKMARK TO THIS FOR PAYPAL - NO MORE STUPID VIDEO
However, now that I have "shouted" this (with cap letters), instead of addressing the issue, PayPal will probably put the video on this page too!
Come on PayPal, listen to your customers ...... you know, the people that keep you in business?

I actually make most of my login pages the "logout" or direct login pages of websites rather than "Home" pages. They usually aren't bloated with the extras.

Thanks Marty! This is the easiest workaround I have seen so far. Just remember not to log out, or you will be hit with the disturbing video again.

Adding my voice.... please remove the video. It interferes with the act of logging on for me. It is annoying, distracting and reduces functionality of the page. Is anyone in IT listening?

This may be really petty, but here goes...
You know those gigantic, screen-filling FLVs that appear on the login and logout pages? I find them *extremely* disturbing. Like, Uncanny Valley levels of creepy. I don't know if it's the disembodied hands doing random things or whatever, but.... just... GAH I don't even want to *think* about it any more. Somebody, please, tell me the code to add to my Adblock filters.

Just get rid of every welcome screen altogether... I don't want to spend any more time on a website that helps me empty my bank account

Get rid of that irritating video background. While the video background doesn't kill my computer or anything like that, I find the backgroud to be irritating, gimmicky and completely unnecessary. The fact that there is no option provided to disable it is pretty lame. Lame just like the video background.

What would be the reaction at PayPal if EVERYONE started to send millions of jokes, photos and videos to their email addresses?
Do you think that they would get the idea and stop the videos?
Let's use up a little of THEIR bandwidth.

Have to agree. I come to paypal to do one thing, send money and check my payments. I don't need some fullscreen video / gif showing me how cool Paypal is. Everyone knows that already and this is coming from someone who designs for a living. Follow Google, clean simple and minimal. The new site design (outside of that) however is pretty nice.
