Craigslist Scam

Advertised a cell phone for sale on craigslist and received several inquiries. One person showed great interest and wanted to purchase for a Sister in law for her birthday. Normally I only do cash and local sales of items but thought what the heck. THis persons name was "Amanda <removed>". Since she was in Michigan she asked is she could pay for the purchase via PayPal.

Me: Sure not a problem

Amanda: Once you find out how much UPS shipping is, let me know and I will pay for it

Me: No problem ... Your total will be...

Amanda: I have submitted the payment for processing

Me: Thank you, I will box it up and send it on its way.

**I starting receiving wierd paypal emails requesting tracking number from UPS to ensure sale is legit, Stupid me....sent out the package and only responded to "Amanda" with tracking info. Something did not feel right and "Amanda" started to become pushy via the email theater we were having. I sent the info to spoof@paypal for review and confirmation was it was a scam. Luckily I was able to call UPS and have the shipment intercepted and returned to me. ***

Here is all the info on this person who is out there scamming

Interested buyer:Amanda <removed>  <removed>

Shipping address info:

<removed>

This transaction produced emails from "paypal" stating the funds will be credited within 24 hour due to high volume sales, which the item would have already been delivered......

Sellers be ware

Thank goodness I was persistent on my follow up an not out my item.
