Communicating via Email? To difficult for Paypal?

I recently got a hold on some funds after using paypal regularly for several years now. I therefore inquired about the issue since it seemed a bit strange and to top it of it said that the money would be held until 1st of july 1970. I expect paypal to send me the time-machine one of these days.

Ok, i figured out what the issue was, it was a "defect" on my ebay account, which is to say i did not voluntarily give a person his money back for a Item not received claim, if i had done that i would probably have saved my self this trouble, which in it self is a bit strange since i do not have any power of the outcome of the situation. The one who made the INR claim will get his money back no matter what since it's all automated with no human oversight whatsoever. So what exactly am i being punished for here? Letting the potential scammer wait a few extra days? The issue was a package sent to Canada for those that wondered.. yes that wonderful country whos postal service now have decided that they wont track packages starting with RR anymore because they have added costs associated with them because of all the packages from China, so what the heck, they just decided that they wont scan packages from other western countries either then, because that certainly makes sense.

OK, and now for my communication with Paypal. I finally got a hold of a representative that told me that it was a "glitch"

"

This appears to be a bug, so my apologies for the inconvenience.

I have escalated this to our payments specialist who should be able to release the payment for you."

Later that day i got an email from the "specialist" telling me the exact same thing that i could find on their website.

"Thank you for contacting PayPal regarding payments being placed on hold for your eBay sales.

I understand that you wanted to have your account reviewed to see if it can be exempted from having payments placed on hold. In reviewing the details of your account I can see that at present it would not meet the criteria to have the holds removed from your account. In order for the account to be exempted it would have to meet at least two the following criteria:

  • Minimum of 25 eBay sales
  • Minimum of $250.00 USD in sales volume
  • 90 days since first transaction
  • Good eBay and PayPal selling performance

Once this criteria has been met we would then be able to consider removing the holds from the account.

Thank you for your time and I wish you continued success with PayPal and eBay."

And then upon further investigation i found out that i had indeed a couple of defects thanks to it being a combined package and another incident from earlier this year when another guy claimed INR and then proceded to pick up the package afterwards.. ebay didn't care obviously.

So, this information i was hoping to give to this "representative" so that they might, just might show me some humane treatment and maybe, just maybe stop holding my funds, but you know what happens when you try to reply back to their emails? mind you this is a payment system that requires you to have an email?

"We want to help you but we are not able to respond to emails sent directly to this address. We value your business and want to provide you with the best customer care.

Thanks,
PayPal"

As for all you paid liars that claim to be volunteers... you are miserable creatures.

Well i was just about to give you some advice until i read the last line.

We are NOT paid, I am an ebay seller that helps out on here.

And i guess if you don't like us i can live with that because the ones that i have saved from being scammed were very grateful.

Oh and i see you are now a ''contributor'' so if you help a few more people you will then become a volunteer advisor the same as me.............so will you call yourself a paid liar as well???

Looking forward to hearing when you get your first pay cheque   Smiley Wink

Paypal has a history of using paid shills on forums. You do realise how abnormal it is to have over 40k posts on a niche forum?

Also, your advice is not worth anything as It would not change anything since this payment system is completely automated and scammer friendly as **bleep**.

Actually that many posts is quite normal if you have been on the boards like i have for over 10 years, only works out about a few posts per day when i am not at work.

And no that was not my suggestion it was something completely different but pointless you starting any threads in the future cus its doubtful i or anyone else will help you.

And as I said I do NOT get paid.

I am on this board for the ''users'' of paypal and not paypal itself.

And as i often post against some paypal policies AND its customer service I get if i did get paid they would stop my cheque !!!

But guess you are one of those ignorant, feeble minded posters that have never helped anyone and only post to rant OR have a go at those that do help.

Not worth my time anymore. Let me know when you get your first cheque  Smiley Wink

Bye........post if you want i shan't be reading your inane drivel   Smiley Very Happy

Luckily there are lots of NICE users that appreciate someone responding to them to try and help them.
