US to Can - sending funds - possible? charges involved?

Can a friend in the US send me funds to my Canadian paypal account?

Is there a charge for doing so?

What is the process.

Depends how they send it ie which option they choose.

Depends how they fund the payment.

Depends on the currency they use.
