PayPal say my account doesn’t exist!

I set up a PayPal account in October last year as a second account to be used with EBay. I have logged in dozens of times and used it to send money when buying from EBay. Today I got an email from PayPal to say I’d received money, (via a sale on EBay). I went to log in and PayPal didn’t recognise my password. It’s the same password I used yesterday to log in! I rang them up because it won’t let me change my password without first texting me but my old phone number is listed. (Got a new phone for Christmas and forgot to update my number on here). Anyway, PayPal say my account doesn’t exist or rather my name and the account email don’t match!? I spelled my name out for them as well as my email address and they still say they can’t find it. I spoke to two different people and they both said the same thing. So I have funds sitting in my PayPal account that I can’t access because PayPal decided my password is wrong and that my name isn’t my name! I have no way to access my account at all. What do I do now?

Go to ebay and click on 'sell' put in anything (as you aren't going to actually list anything) until you get to the main page > scroll down near the bottom and where it says payment methods check the email address that is on that page, is there a spelling mistake or old one?
