I cannot login to my PayPal account, as the "Quick security check" uses a defunct phone number

In the last few days, PayPal changed the way to log in to my PayPal account, by asking for a "Quick security check".
However, the number they send the SMS to is on a SIM I cannot access where I reside now.
When I press the "Confirm Another Way", I'm taken back to the same page with the same defunct phone number.
Is there a way to change this two-way confirmation which would allow me to access my PayPal account?

Hi @boardrider,
Thanks for asking your question here.
I understand that you are not able to verify the account as you don't have access to the phone. I am afraid that I won’t be able to help you here but if you can call us we can help you resolve this.
If you click on the 'Help & Contact' option at the bottom of each page you will find our phone number and opening times.
