I have moved country and I understand that I must close my account then reopen with the same email address. But when I try to close the original account, it says "there is something to resolve, please contact customer service". I have already cleared the account of bank accounts etc. But there is a tiny amount in PayPal account. The customer service tells me to call Luxembourg (too expensive). What else can I do?

Paypal is country specific so if you move countries you have to open another paypal account in the country you reside in and add an address / phone number / bank accounts / cards from within that country.

You are supposed to withdraw any funds / resolve issues / remove cards and bank accounts before you leave your old country. If you don't then you may have problems doing so once you have moved.....which is why you need to contact customer services.

have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a personal message from their facebook or twitter pages.
It's: https://www.facebook.com/PayPalUK and @AskPayPal for Twitter.

Kudos / Solution appreciated.
