I would imagine you go into your account settings and enter your PayPal email address. Then it may ask permission to sync up transactions.

Alias no. I've tried that many, many times! Being a UK resident I opted for the PayPal (UK) option. I pasted my user name (my email address) in and my long complicated unique password in. But every time it rejects it. I don't think this is really a PayPal problem. Its a Buxfer problem but I struggling to get a replay from them. Having my budget software download my statements from my bank, PayPal etc is really useful and Buxfer is one of the few programs that has this functionally in the UK.

Just had exactly the same problem, until....

Rather than selecting PayPal by clicking the icon I selected PayPal by typing "PayPal" in the search box, then limited results to UK only and from that point Buxfer takes you down a different route to authorise access to your PayPal account and it syncs successfully.

However, all my transactions are purchases but appear to be credits. Every time I spend, my overall balance goes up!!! Which would be nice, but isn't helpful. I haven't yet worked out how to fix that.
