2-Stage login fails: there is a problem with google authenticator code

Hi,

 

I activated the 2-stage login using Google authenticator. Now whenever I try to log in, I get the message that "there was a problem with my code" and cannot log in. Eventually there will be too many tries and login is seized.

 

Now, what can I do? I cannot log in at all (created a new account only to ask this question) and there is no-one answering the phone "due to covid-19". How can I contact Paypal?

I have the similar problem: my phone went wrong and I cannot login anymore. Now it is September and the situation has not changed, I'm afraid. I could not even recover any phone number to PayPal customer service. This is my newly created account just to contact PayPal.

Maybe it is too expensive to maintain reliable IT environment or customer service... It' just terrible!
