Hello!
I have been using a personal account for years to receive child support or to pay for things online.
I am starting my own business and just switched over to a business account and am not sure how this will affect my personal transactions.
Am I charged when someone sends me money?
Am I able to differentiate between personal and business transactions/profile in my account? Right now it doesn't appear that way.
How do I edit my business information for money requests etc. as I don't want my personal information being used.
Thank you!

You can have actually opened a separate business account (or a personal account now since you switched):
https://www.paypal.com/ca/webapps/mpp/account-selection
Each user can have one personal and one business account if you want to separate the personal account transactions from business ones.
You can use the same account since you've already upgraded your persona account to a business one if you don't want open an additional account. If you are sent or send personal payments (f&f), those payments are designated as Money Received/Money Sent (no fee within domestic Canada with PayPal balance/bank account). Commercial payments are designated at Payment Sent/Payment Received (PayPal fee is applicable).
You can edit business account settings in (Gear Icon) > Account Settings or Tools menu to access selling tools.
Kudos & Solved are greatly appreciated. 🙂

Thank you for replying -
I was wanting to use the same banking information and log in information so I kept it as one account.
With it being just one account, is all money that I receive considered a business transaction and charged? I didn't completely understand your answer.
