cannot remove primary email , to switch with another email. #primaryemail

hello ! I am having trouble removing my primary email to change it to my other email, im assuming at this point that this is not possible. Does anyone know if it can be done ? if so please help me out 🙂 thanks 🌸

Go and click on the profile tab (icon next to log out) > click on the + and ''add'' another/new email address > verify it > go back and click on ''update'' and tick the box underneath that says ''make primary'' > then you should get the remove option by the old now longer primary email. You can remove that one or leave it on as you can have up to 8 email addresses on the one paypal account.

I have the same issue, but the instructions don't align with what I'm seeing.  I have clicked to confirm it numerous times but it still says "unconfirmed" and won't give me an option to make it my primary email.
