Updating has triggered a stream of texts of security codes, how to stop?

Earlier today I tried to update CC and bank info on my account. PP required that I enter a
security code, either by copying from a text msg or replying to an automated call.
Neither worked - no text msgs came, and when I did get the phone call, the number appearing
on the PC was rejected by PP. On the 3rd callback PP finally accepted the number they posted
for me to enter into my phone.
Now a couple hours later, I have started to get text msgs from PP with security code to apply.
I have received FOUR of them in a row, each about 5 minutes apart. This is HOURS after I logged
out of PP. I can only hope that each of these is for an attempt to get a text from them HOURS AGO.
How do I make these stop? It is Sunday and Monday is a holiday. <bleep>, these guys have so much money
but they can't make their system send a text without hours of delay?
