Nickname

Hello. Is it possible to put a nickname and hide my real name from others? My acc is verificated and I uploaded my real documents, but I don’t have a nickname so people who sent money to me can see it. But I don’t want them to know my name. Is there a solution for this problem?

Nope, you need your legal name on your paypal account or you will face issues using it.

Personally I would not want to send money to anyone that only wants to give me a fake name.

thanks for your opinion, but I see only nicknames of those who send it to me so it’s not a big problem

And I see posts on here every day from folks who can't withdraw their funds from their paypal account because the name on their paypal account is not their legal one.

And others stating paypal have requested i.d. confirmation and they can't provide a legal document that matches the name on their paypal account so they have been permanently banned.

So you are welcome to my opinion and advice, but if you don't want to take it then fine, I will see you back in a few months wondering why you are banned and can't withdraw your money...good luck.

I never wanted to delete it or something, just a simple question if it’s possible to make the real name private
