Login problem with phone confirmation

Just recently PayPal started sending a code to my phone EVERYTIME I try to login. The problem is I only have a landline number so if I'm not at home then I can't log in. My daughter's PayPal doesn't do this, she can login anywhere without the need to ever enter a code...what can I do to avoid this problem? Please I'm tearing my hair out!

Same here. And I can no longer log in at all - Paypal is asking me to request a call, so that I can enter the 4-digit security code supplied on screen into my phone's keypad, but their calling system isn't working, and hasn't been for several days now. My phone is receiving calls from elsewhere with no issues, my phone number hasn't changed, so it's definitely a PayPal problem.

Get a mobile phone and add it to your account as.........

The solution is to get a mobile phone...?? That 'solution' is not a solution...!  I do not want or need a mobile phone. And even if I had one, I would not be able to add the number to my account - because I can't access my account! I can't access it because I can't authenticate it unless the phone rings and I enter the on-screen code into the keypad! And the phone doesn't ring, because PayPal can't get their flipping act together and get landline phones back into the equation.  It never used to be a problem (the phone used to actually ring when authentication was required!!) so it can very obviously be done.

Because I cannot access my account, the one I use for BUYING, I am not able to use it for my business, Christmas and other purchases, which are many. I am having to pay by non-PayPal means instead. But hey, if PayPal no longer want the revenue that my (and other landline-only users) many PayPal purchases were adding to their bank balance, that's absolutely fine with me. I don't suppose it will be fine with PayPal's shareholders, though!
