I can't log in into my account

I had a PayPal account that I don't use anymore and I created a new one with the same phone number. I later found out that I can't use the same number on two accounts and I changed the number from the old account. Now when I try to log in into my new account I don't receive the verification message on my phone and if I choose the option where they call me the verification code is not working.
