Forgot password, error when trying to recover it.

I forgot the password to my old account and when I try to recover it it says "We're sorry, we couldn't confirm it's you"

In general, it sounds like our security system is not able to confirm that you are the owner of the PayPal account and that you would like to change the password. I would recommend waiting for 48 hours as this should solve the problem. Otherwise, please reach out to our Customer Service. If you want to contact our Customer Service, you can click ‘Help & Contact’ at the bottom of any PayPal page to see which options are available.
