Hello nadheemkhan,

Welcome to PayPal HeadStart Community.

Based on the description in your earlier post, I believe the charges you are referring is in relation to $1.00 USD charge and PayPal Credit Card Confirmation fee.

The $1.00 USD is a temporary authorisation charge, a common method banks use when validating that credit cards are active and available for online payments.

Whenever you add or edit a card on your PayPal account, our credit card processor will temporarily place a $1.00 USD charge on your account as part of this authorisation process. It may take a few minutes or up to 30 days, depending on your bank, for the transaction to be removed from your account and the $1.00 USD to be released to your card balance.

As you have chosen to confirm your card, automatically PayPal will charge so that a 4-digit code can be sent to your card issuer. You could normally  find your 4-digit code on your card statement or call your card issuer 2-3 working days after linking your card to your PayPal account.

I hope the above information helps you to understand the reason behind the charges.

As the title goes.

I have been deducted a total of 300 PHP (Philippine Pesos) just to get my card confirmed/verified.

The problem is, the first 2 attempts were failures as the system gave me an error "Service unavailable". I didn't think it would deduct any money from my card since it is what it is "unavailable" and every time I try to confirm the card, I still go through the page where all I can do is click on "Confirm my card" button.

In my 3rd attempt today, I finally got a working 4-digit code and my account is finally verified.

Question: Will I get refunded for the total of these transactions made to my card?

It's a total of 300 PHP, 200 of which were failures..

Or will the refund only cover the transaction with the working code?
