Hello,
I run an eComerce store as a sole proprietor and do business under my own name. However, I'm worried that customers may get confused when they look at their credit card treatments, and see a charge with only my name listed with no reference to the site they purchased from. I know there is a way to change the name that appears on credit card statements, but are we permitted to use a name that's significantly different from our full legal business name?
For example if John Smith has an eCommerce pet store, and his legal business name is John Smith, can he still have something like "John's Pet Supplies" appear on customer credit card statements? If this is allowed, how do I make the change?

Hi @Dan723,
Thank you for your post and welcome to the Community Forum!
In general, if you have created a Business account, you should be able to change your Business name and this does not have to match your legal name. You should be able to change the name after clicking 'Profile and Settings' in the top right corner of your account.
I hope this helps!
Martina
