Can't confirm a new email address

I added a new email. I clicked to confirm it. I got the email with the link to confirm. I clicked that link which then asked me to log into PayPal once again. But I get error message"We're sorry. We're having some trouble completing your request. Please try again". I have tried to do it four times over several days. Any thoughts?

Do you see any notifications in your PayPal account telling you that you still need to confirm your email address? If not, perhaps it is confirmed but just show error message as a glitch as you keep confirming and the system thinks it is already confirmed.
