I am trying to verify my account but it is telling me to add a card. I added a credit card, is this not an acceptable option?

i have added a credit card and every time i click verify account, it does nothing. this article was also not helpful.

Well if you read the article it may be helpful as it says nothing about using a credit card to verify your account !!!!
