Account Limitation

I logged in this morning to find I had limitations. My message read like this.

  • Account
There’s a problem with your account. Be sure to resolve it to restore full account access.
    (Resolve Account Issue)

After clicking through to the Resolve Issue area I get this:

You can't use PayPal anymore

At PayPal, we value a safe community for our customers to do business. We noticed activity in your account that’s inconsistent with our (USER AGREEMENT) and we no longer offer you PayPal services.

Any bank or credit card information linked to your PayPal account cannot be removed nor can it be used to create a new account. You can still log in and see your account information but you can’t send or receive money. Any money in your balance will be held for 180 days, after which we’ll send you an email with instructions about transferring your money.

Reference ID: PP-L-231330136729

I can't find any way to resolve this now. I have used PayPal for a long while now using my own credit card and applied for PayPal Credit and got approved last night. Now when I logged in I have limitations? I know in no way did I go against any policy of PayPal.

Sadly thats a permanent ban message, nothing you can do about it unfortunately.

Paypal holds your funds for 180 days as that is the same timeframe that buyers have to open paypal disputes.

So if no disputes are opened against you in 180 days then you are allowed to withdraw the funds as long as you are over 18, the account is in your legal name and registered in the country where you reside.

Sometimes Paypal request further documentation from you before you can withdraw those funds.

Your best bet is to wait until the phones are back up and running and then phone customer services so that you can speak to an agent.
Then they can help advise on how you can withdraw the funds if and when you are allowed to do so.

Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
