How do I set up a payment plan for a buyer/customer? I would like a payment to be made monthly starting in October 2010.

Login to your PayPal account and click on the "Merchant Services" tab to learn about the various ways you can bill your customers. The "Subscribe" link in the "Create Buttons" column is most likely the type of billing you want.

Sandy,

You're quite knowledgable in a similar question you'd helped a poster with.  I hope you can do the same for me.

I talked an item down with a seller that listed an item as a 'Buy it Now' only item.  The seller agreed to the lower price and responded, '..give me ur paypal account and i will send u invoice'.

My PayPal account is zero right now.  I apologize for the elementary type question, though what would I do now?

In advance thank you for your time.

Hi markit8dude,

If it's an eBay item, the seller can revise his eBay listing. and add "Best Offer" to the listing. You will then be able to buy the item by offering the agreed upon price and paying through the eBay "Pay Now" button or the eBay invoice.

Payment through the eBay "Pay Now" button or the eBay invoice is a PayPal and eBay Buyer Protection requirement.

More information about "Best Offer" is available at the following links...

Another option is for the seller to change the BIN price to the agreed upon price so that you can use the BIN button to buy the item. This option requires the seller to make the change at an agreed upon time so that the possibility of another buyer purchasing the item is minimized.

If it's a non-eBay item, provide the seller with your PayPal email address so the seller can send you an invoice. You can then login to your PayPal account and pay the invoice.

You do not need to have funds in your PayPal account balance... your payment can be funded by your linked bank account, credit card account or debit card account.

If you're wanting the seller to setup installment payments, provide the seller with the information I posted in my first reply to this thread. The seller can use that information to send you an email message with a "Pay" button which has the agreed upon installment terms.
