PayPal discount code problem - where is this set up?!

Hi there, on the payment page, there is a box that says: "Enter gift voucher, reward, or discount"

I want to set up a code that offers aany buyer a 25% off. they would enter something like: 25OFF in the promo box.

but i cant seem to find where this is set up in paypal? I have found redemption codes within the admin, but it just says:

"There are currently no redemption codes in your account."

then it carries on to talk about creatuing a button for coupons. I cant find anything online

I want to add a discount code?

Good luck with this.  I have the same problem.  Crazy that they'd even have link to enter the promo code without an easy way for us to create one.  **bleep**.  Sorry.  Just venting.

how can I do that??? after all, all the 350+ products have 'add to cart' codes from paypal!!!... do I have to do it individually with all of them???????

also, I use wordpress as the base for my store, and they do have a widget for paypal, but it does nothing...

I actually called paypal and their answer is "no, there is no way"...

so, what I did was set up all the 'add to cart' buttons in a way that allow me to change all the shipping costs at the same time, via the shipping calculator, so the 'discount ' i will offer will be 'discounted shipping'...

this is how you do it....  when creating the payment button, mark your selection like this:

Shipping        (mark here)        Use settings saved in your PayPal profile. View

             Weight     Lb(s)  kg(s)   Help     

Be sure to set up shipping based on weight in your Profile.

                      Go to Profile >

                      My selling tools >

                      Shipping calculations. Then you can use weight-based shipping   in   your button  OR, what I did, shipping based on the amount of the purchase............

That is absolutely ridiculous that you can't do it, What's the point in having the box there asking if you have a discount code, I want to give all of my facebook fans a 10% discount on everything on my website that means over 200 items so I can't go in and change all of the buttons to discount all the shipping costs :0(
