Hi all
Has anyone run into this before? I'm directing customers from my website and their options are to login to their account or create a new one to pay. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Frank

Hi,
Is this with Website Payments Standard (A "paypal button") or with Express Checkout (using the SetExpressCheckout API)?
For the former; ensure the "PayPal Account Optional" setting is switched 'On' inside your Profile at My selling tools > Website Preferences > Update.
For the latter; ensure you pass SOLUTIONTYPE=Sole though in the SetExpressCheckout API call. It will default to 'Mark', which means a PayPal account is required.
Your account should also be eliible for this feature, which may or may not be available in your country of residence (where your PayPal account was registered).

RobG,
I just tried to do exactly what you said on my Website Payments Standard account and the option is not there. I looked all around my profile options in case it is somewhere else. No luck. Did you guys move the option somewhere else or remove it all together?
Thanks

Which product are you using, where is your account registered and what type of payment are you attempting?
The guest payment option is by default not available on:
- Transactions above $4000
- Subscriptions / recurring payments
- Automatic billing
- Express Checkout
You can enable 'PayPal Account Optional' via: Profile > My selling tools > Website preferences > Update.
