First attempt to add a Paypal option to my website code

The Help centre did not seem very clear about hwether I should create a 'sandbox' account ( whatever that is?)
or use the SDK option. Some if the choices offered use terms that are not explained, which makes the cohoice difficult.
I need to add a simple uncomplicated paypal option for a customer to use for a single one item purchase, there are no
multiple choices or combinations of items to contend with.

Hello,

Thank you for posting to the PayPal Merchant Technical Support Community.

If you have one product for a one time purchase then there is no reason that you need to create a sandbox account. Sandbox accounts are for testing. If you had a more complicated integration, I would advise creating a Sandbox Account for testing.

Here are the steps for creating a Buy Now Button:

  1. Click Tools at the top of the page and select PayPal buttons from the dropdown menu.
    • If you don’t see PayPal buttons in the dropdown menu, then select All Tools.
    • On the "All Tools" page click Integrate PayPal on the left, and click on the PayPal buttons tile.
  2. Click the button that you want to create. (Buy Now is the simplest button)
  3. Add the required information.
  4. Click Create Button.
  5. Copy and paste the button code into your own Web page code.

Thank you,

Jennifer
