Forced to refund customer when item was delivered

An item was sold on Depop and a whole month after purchase the customer opened a case with PayPal saying the item never got delivered. He didn't message me on Depop at all, but filed the complaint a month later which is weird in itself (big red flags). PayPal asked me to provide tracking information which I did and it stated that the item was delivered (posted on the 1st of December, delivered on the 3rd), but PayPal said I didn't give 'valid proof that the item was delivered to the buyer' and was forced to give a refund. What should I do? The buyer's Depop account also comes up with an error message when I click on their profile which either means they've deleted it or blocked me.

Hey louiefelton,

I'm sorry to hear about the dispute, that would definitely be frustrating. You can appeal the decision of a case if you don't agree with the result. Good luck with your case, and I hope this helps!
