Is PayPayl items and goods a safe way to sell something online?

So this guy has offered to pay upfront for a laptop that I am selling. I will be posting that to him once I receive the payment. However, I am wondering whether he can chargeback after he receives the item. That would be a total disaster for me. Losing money and a laptop. So, I am wondering whether there are measures to prevent that from happening? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @michlep

This link (select "Seller protection" under the picture at the top of the screen), might be helpful for you to understand how and when you are protected by PayPal when selling an item. If you decide to receive the payment via PayPal make sure to use a shipping method that offers you a tracking number and that you ship to the address provided to you in the payment confirmation. Also refer to the link above for all details.

Keep safe!
