Disable trusting devices

Is there any way to turn off having PayPal auto-trust my devices? I *want* to authenticate every time, and I don't want to have to login to my account and remove the device after every purchase (as PayPal seems to add it all on its own without my asking).

Checking out with PayPal used to be easier than checking out with a credit card, but changes they've made to the service are shifting the balance back towards credit cards being less cumbersome to use than PayPal.

I think you can do it by setting up 2-factor authentication, so that, for example, they text a security code to you, and you have to enter that code in order to complete the login to paypal. I think -- and maybe I'll learn otherwise -- that once you do that, the system will stop bypassing security and giving your device a status of being "trusted."

I have asked for this feature to be turned off, a huge security mistake!!

The problem is that it must assume you are on a phone with your email at hand.

When I pay with PayPal, and it sends an email after a delay that now I don't have to log in on this "trusted device", I have to turn it off every time!

I have tried to explain; what if I am using a work pc, or a friend's pc, or even worse a public PC and not a phone!!! So you order, pay with paypal, and walk away only to find out when  you do check your email, you find that they have automated "trusted device" status. I DO NOT WANT THIS ENABLED ON ANY DEVICE!! Why do I have to turn it off over and over again; why can't I have a setting in my account that stops this from "trusting" any device!

I am so frustrated they simply do not allow this to turn this off. I do not want to have to use the stupid two factor either to turn it off. This is a huge security risk!!
