I am trying to add a UK card so as not to pay euros for purchases denominated in GBP but Pay Pal does not accept the card's address UK post code. Apparently it only accepts US-style digital codes since I've had no problem registering other European cards. I have written to PP for this problem before but had no reply.

The billing address of any card added has to match your paypal account address.
You can't add an international address to a country specific paypal account.

Kudos / Solution appreciated.

Thanks a lot for the prompt reply, but this is weird! I spend time in three European countries and have added and payed with cards from two of them with different currencies and different billing addresses without a problem. The problem here seems to be the UK postcode which consists of letters and digits. However PayPal does hot allow anything that does not look like a US-style code and asks me to enter a genuine ZIP code as soon as I enter my UK postcode. Probably I must create a second account based in Britain.
