Click on the balance (>) icon > click on 'manage currencies' under the pop up box > on the left hand side select the currency you want from the drop down box and add it as a recieving currency. When its in your balance you can only use it for other sellers that accept that currency OR you can go back to the same place and convert it to sterling. (However paypals currency conversion rates are pretty low).
