I am a novice user although I have had my account for some time. Today I received an e-mail saying that I had requested an extra e-mail address to be added to my paypal account and if it wasn't me then my account would be suspended. If I did not want my account to be suspended then I needed to fill in an attached form and send it back. I was on auto pilot filling in the info - address details, bank details etc when I checked the e-mail that it came from ' acount @ ppal . com - which didn't look right so I abandoned my reply and have just tried to log on & there is no mention of the above.
Can anyone confirm if this was an attempt to glean info from me in a fraudulent way or will it have been a legitimate email from paypal - help please, thank you

Hi there AnnLouise,
If PayPal are requesting information to be updated or changed or we are requesting information you will be notified of this on your PayPal account. We will also address you using your full name in the email the notification email that you will receive and we will never put a link in the email, we will request you to log in separately to your PayPal account.
If in the future you receive an email that you are not sure of please check the above. If you are still unsure please send it to us at spoof@paypal.com so we can review it for you.
I hope this helps
Paula
